Ilya Kovalchuk

According to the Edmonton Journal, Ilya Kovalchuk's agent has contacted the KHL. The league has also come out saying that the contract can be no longer than thirteen years. The NHL has already rejected the original seventeen-year contract and the newest, which spans over fifteen years.

Kevin Bieka

According to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register, the Anaheim Ducks may have some interest in Kevin Bieksa. However, the trade might not happen so soon since Sami Salo is out until late December, which gives the Canucks temporary cap relief.

Jamie Langenbrunner

Can the Devils' captain, Jamie Langenbrunner, be on the way out to accommodate Kovalchuk's contract? Some sources think he could land in Toronto. More on this soon.
