Chicago Blackhawks: 11 Nationally Broadcasted Games This Season

A vacant United Center, having to wander through the AM Radio stations to find the Blackhawks games, and knowing players only by their face—those days are long gone for longtime Chicago Blackhawks fans. The Blackhawks have come a long way since the Bill Wirtz era.

Now, for the third consecutive season, the Blackhawks will have all of their games televised.

The National Hockey League Broadcast Rightsholders NBC and VERSUS declared yesterday that 11 Chicago Blackhawks games will be broadcast on national television during the 2010-11 regular season—the most for any NHL team.

Chicago will have the opportunity to make up to four more appearances on NBC’s Game of the Week in the second half of the season, once the league and network state those contests as part of their flex scheduling contract.
