Anaheim Ducks: Three Keys To Success This Season

This is a new 30 part series I will be doing for each and every team. Most days I will only do one but some days you might see two or three teams done, so stay tuned.

In no particular order here are the Anaheim Ducks three keys to success this season.

 

Penalty Kill

The Anaheim Ducks were 24th in the NHL last season killing off just 79.3% of their penalties. If the Ducks can jump up into the top 15 it will dramatically increase their chances of making the playoffs.

 

Shots Against

Jonas Hiller is one of the more talented goalies in the league, no doubt about that; however, the Anaheim Ducks MUST decrease the average shot total against per game.  Last season they were 29th in the NHL with an average of 33.4 shots against per game. If the Anaheim Ducks want to make the playoffs this year, they are going to have to help Hiller out.

 

Secondary Scoring

If the Ducks have any hope of making a postseason run this season, they need secondary scoring.
