Knicks’ JR Smith and Carmelo Anthony Tear Up Private NYC Pickup Game

You could search your entire life and never find a sight as rare as New York Knicks working together in the wild.

Like stumbling upon a black pearl in the surf, TMZ uncovered footage of J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony playing in a recent private pickup game with fellow pros at a New York City gym.

The website reports Smith and Anthony played with Lance Stephenson of the Charlotte Hornets, David Lee of the Golden State Warriors and free agent Chris Douglas-Roberts at the top-notch Terminal 23 basketball facility in Manhattan this month. 

Based on the footage TMZ recovered, the two New York Knicks cleaned up the joint. Anthony rained unguarded triples from behind the arc while Smith threw down a couple of high-percentage field goals.



Here’s a shot taken earlier this August of Smith and Anthony hanging out at Terminal 23 at Cafe Rouge, a Jordan Brand venue that opened earlier this year. It is endorsed by Melo and plays host to product launches and is available to various youth teams.



TMZ reports the two Knicks won their pickup game.
