Gary Neal Injury: Updates on Wizards SG’s Leg and Return

Washington Wizards guard Gary Neal will miss his second straight game Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks with a leg injury, coach Randy Wittman announced.

Neal's Injury Has Bothered Him Two Weeks Thursday, Feb. 11 Neal was initially listed as questionable, but his status seemed sealed when he didn't participate in pregame shootaround, per to Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post. Neal also missed Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks.

The injury is one that has been bothering Neal two weeks. He missed a Jan. 28 game against the Denver Nuggets then returned in a limited capacity for the next five contests, averaging just 14 minutes, well below his season margin at 20.2 minutes. 

In his first season with the Wizards, the sixth-year veteran has been one of the team’s top options off the bench and shooting a career-best 46.5 percent.
