I was shocked last night.

Not because the Flyers blew us to smithereens, though that was disappointing.

I was shocked by what King Marty Brodeur said after the game:

“I just don’t believe it,” he said. "It’s kind of tough to digest. We had a hell of a team here, but for whatever reason we never got to the level we needed to play in the playoffs. I’m just really disappointed, that’s for sure.”

Disappointed it what, exactly?

Disappointed in your team?

Disappointed with yourself?

Both?

What?

News flash Devils fans: We don't have a good team.

We don't.

You know you aren't good when you are monsters during the regular season, and then get eliminated in the opening round—for the third consecutive year!

You know you aren't very good when you are the No. 2 seed and the team that beats you is a No. 7 seed that just barely skated in.
