Tomas Kaberle: Toronto Maple Leafs’ Trade Count Down & More Rumors!

The Tomas Kaberle saga will finally come to an sometime in the next 14 hours. Brian Burke and the Toronto Maple Leafs will entertain no doubt a dizzying amount of offers for the veteran blue liner between then and now.

As of a radio interview on the Fan 590 yesterday morning, Burke was after one of two things. Either a top six forward or a high draft pick and good young player.

As far as top six players go, there has been no end to the parade of people reportedly about to don the Blue and White as part of a Kaberle deal.

Here are just a few of the more colorful ones I've received in the last 48 hours or so.

Kaberle & Rosehill to LA for Dustin Brown:

The likelyhood of Brown coming to the Leafs is pretty remote. While he may be a bit of a defensive liability at times, he has tremendous potential on both sides of the puck.

Not to mention the more obvious aspect of his being captain of the team. Being captain of a team is certainly no guarantee, but it is usually pretty much a lock.
