Who are the top five hottest teams in the NHL right now? There are a lot of teams that are playing well, others that are on upward swings, and even more that are going down.
To choose which are the hottest teams, I looked at four criteria to try to show the trend of each team:
Ranked by:
1 – Winning percentage during the last 20 games
2 – Winning percentage during the last 10 games
3 – Goal differential during the last 20 games
4 – Goal differential during the last 10 games
NOTE - for the purposes of this analysis, I am counting wins as wins and loses (whether in OT or SO) as a loss, regardless of the 1 point teams picked up. More like the OLD NHL style.
So this analysis is really about wins and losses versus points.
I'm sure that a few teams could be shifted up or down a little, but I think this slideshow is a good representation of who is bringing the heat. Enjoy!Begin Slideshow
