Tampa Bay Lightning Stay Alive in NHL Prospect Tournament, Beat Dallas Stars 3-1

James Wright and Marc-Olivier Vachon both posted a goal and an assist as the Tampa Bay Lightning prospects defeated the Dallas Stars prospects on Tuesday afternoon in the NHL Traverse City Prospect Tournament.

Lightning goaltender Dustin Tokarski starred on the night, making 35 of 36 saves and backstopping his team to help kill five of six penalties.

Tampa struck first blood when forward Richard Panik sped down the right wing and delivered a saucer pass to Wright. Wright then deflected the puck just past the leg of Stars goaltender Jack Campbell for his fifth point of the tournament at 11:51.

Less than two minutes later, Vachon found a free puck and chipped it over Campbell to make the score 2-0. That goal would prove to be the final of the period. The shot total was 17-10 in favour of Dallas after 20 minutes.
