New Jersey Devils

It seems that GM Lou Lamoriello is not in a rush to clear cap space. He has said that he'd like to see how training camp goes, which is a smart management move. A few players could be traded and Langenbrunner has recognized the possibility of being traded. However, he'd like to stay with the team.

Also, the Devils were fined $3 million, lost one first round pick in the next four years, and lost one of their 2011 third round picks as punishment by the NHL for attempted cap circumvention. Sigh...NHL.

 

Daymond Langkow

Daymond Langkow will not be making the team for training camp as he still remains on LTIR.

Bill Guerin

The veteran winger has agreed to a tryout with the Philadelphia Flyers. He will most likely sign with them for less than $1 million soon.



Sheldon Souray

Reports are saying that Oilers GM Steve Tambellini has requested that Sheldon Souray not show up to training camp and that he intends on moving him before October. Let's see if Tambellini is all talk this time.
