Stars On Ice: Ranking the Top 50 Skaters in the NHL

As we approach the Stanley Cup Finals, the calendar presents a wonderful opportunity to take a deep breath, step back, and evaluate the game as a whole. Obviously the four teams that are still standing, two of whom are on crutches/life-support, have shown something throughout the season and playoffs that has brought them to the brink of immortality. There are players on each of those rosters that rank among the elite in the NHL. There are other players that are not representing their NHL clubs still who, despite not matriculating to the end of the road, bring an incredible level of talent to the table and produce at a high level. So how do we rank the top 50 skaters? We're going to look at the overall value brought to the table by the top 50 players in the league; not just goals scored, but complete game. I'm sure that I'll miss a few players, and for that I apologize before the slideshow begins. I look forward to the conversation that follows.
