Pavel Datsyuk Embarrasses Logan Couture with Nasty Crossover

What is there to say about Pavel Datsyuk? The man is poetry is motion with a puck—an artist with a hockey stick as a brush. His latest masterpiece came during the Detroit Red Wings' Thursday night matchup with the San Jose Sharks. 

Datsyuk received the puck near the San Jose goal and went to work on the Sharks’ Logan Couture, deking him right and left. Couture tried to steal the puck but ended up getting crossed over like a defender in an AND1 mixtape.

Even though the game was being played in San Jose, the home crowd couldn’t help but shout in amazement at the display put on by Datsyuk. People know good hockey when they see it and all self-respecting fans of the sport in attendance at HP Pavilion sounded impressed. 

Despite Datsyuk’s efforts, the Sharks ended up winning the game 2-0. However, Couture reached out to the Red Wings’ stick master on Twitter after the game, acknowledging that he had been humiliated:
