Patrick Kane: Solving the Mystery of the Chicago Blackhawk

He stole the hearts of both men and women on June 9, 2010.  Patrick Kane scored the peculiar overtime goal to clinch the dream of nearly all hockey players around the league, a dream for the Chicago Blackhawks organization, team and fans for a prolonged period of time.  Actually, 49 years to be exact.

Girls fawned over Kane, boys wanted to grow up to be just like him and the media fell in love with the 22-year-old United States-born hockey player.

Kane led the Blackhawks in points for the 2009-2010 season with 88 total.  Kane led the team in assists as well.  This golden boy looked as if he was the face of Chicago.

Now after the shortened time off this summer for Kane and the Blackhawks, they have already played half the season.

Besides Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp and Tomas Kopecky, not one forward seems to be improving.  Taking into account how young this team actually is, this is not a step forward, not even close.
