It's a scenario all fans will experience. Entering the playoffs with the ultimate goal in mind, only to be foiled by another team and sent home with nothing but bruised egos and an unsatisfied thirst for success. Alas, so are the ways of playoff hockey in the NHL, or any other sport for the matter. Your team isn't always going to win the championship. In the NHL, that is the case for 29 teams every season. For many, an early playoff exit can hurt as much as bombing a final exam in college or walking in on your significant other with your best friend. For others, however, the sting wears off once the hangover subsides. Either way, there is a right way and a wrong way to approach the beginning on your team's off-season.
