2010 NHL Playoffs: Five Players That Need to Step It Up in Round Three

Without the benefit of knowing how the Philadelphia Flyers/Boston Bruins series will end up, I am taking on the task of determining which players need to pick up their play if their teams are to be successful in the third round. Looking over the rosters of the Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, and Philadelphia Flyers, there are a few players that stand out as being disappointing and/or in need of a better effort going forward. Some players, while great in the first two rounds, will still need to raise their games if their teams are to be successful. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a marathon, not a sprint, as such, your best players need to remain your best players and, more importantly, unsung heroes need to emerge.
