NHL Trade Rumours: Are Mike Komisarek and Francois Beauchemin on the Move?

According to Bruce Garrioch of The Ottawa Sun, Ray Emery is working hard to return from hip surgery. In a few weeks he will skate with an OHL team and then work his way up to the AHL on a 25 game pro tryout. It is likely he completes the tryout before any NHL team takes a chance on him.

Lots of goaltenders have gotten injured, or probably will, as one injury is all it takes to devastate a team. So it is likely that a team will take a chance by signing Emery.

The Dallas Stars' lenders are unlikely to give the team the money they need to re-sign Brad Richards. The Rangers are said to be the team with the highest interest because the Leafs are falling out of playoff contention.

Don't be shocked if Brian Burke adds Richards even if his team is falling out of contention. He does not let the standings dictate whether or not he makes a trade (eg. the Phil Kessel trade).

The Atlanta Thrashers are starting to work out a long term contract extension with their captain Andrew Ladd.

They need to keep him, and since he is an RFA, he does not have much of a choice.
