Korean Newspaper Runs Headline Proclaiming Chicago Bears Stanley Cup Champs

Let's start with this: The fact that a Korean newspaper opted to cater to English-speaking citizens is impressive.

The Korea Times could have said, "Nope. We're sticking to our thing," and avoided all the headaches of having to run stories about sports happenings from halfway around the world.

But the Korea Times chose to shoot for the stars and, in doing so, congratulated the Chicago Bears on a Stanley Cup triumph this week. Twitter user Vinny Oz dug up an image posted on Reddit of the paper's Wednesday sports section.

The Bears are Stanley Cup champs, guys.



In fairness to the paper, the text of the story mentions the Blackhawks and is accurate. Also, if anyone asks you who is winning/has won any sporting event, the proper response is "the Bears." 



I'd also like to thank the Korea Times for putting the image of Jay Cutler hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup into my mind's eye. I imagine him using at as an ashtray while binge-watching Game of Thrones alone on the couch.
