Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll has been charged with cocaine possession after an arrest at a party in Las Vegas on April 17. TMZ.com reported the news Monday and noted that Stoll faces up to four years in state prison.

Kimberly De La Cruz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal adds that the specific charge is one count of possession of a controlled substance, which is a felony.

Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register weighed in on Stoll's potential punishment after assessing the criminal complaint:

When he was initially arrested at the MGM Grand hotel's Wet Republic, Stoll, 32, had 3.3 grams of cocaine on him along with capsules containing the drug Ecstasy. The incident occurred approximately one week after the Kings' season ended, as they failed to qualify for the playoffs after winning the Stanley Cup the prior year.

Stoll had six goals and 11 assists in 73 games played for Los Angeles in 2014-15 and will return to court in Clark County on July 1.
