Jagr Becomes 5th Player with 200 Career Playoff Points

Florida Panthers right wing Jaromir Jagr became part of an exclusive club during Wednesday's 2-1 win over the New York Islanders, joining Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Jari Kurri and Glenn Anderson as the only players in NHL history with 200 or more career playoff points, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Held scoreless through the first three games of the ongoing series, the 44-year-old Czech finally broke through for his 200th playoff point in Wednesday's Game 4, picking up the first assist on a power-play goal scored by Panthers right wing Teddy Purcell late in the second period.

The Islanders did bounce back to tie the game at 1-1 just a few minutes later, but Panthers defenseman Alex Petrovic scored the game-winner midway through the third period to knot the series at 2-2.

Having spent the past few seasons with mediocre teams, Jagr previously hadn't tallied a point in the playoffs since 2013, when he had 10 assists (but no goals) in 22 postseason games for a Boston Bruins squad that lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Final.
