Sports Cartoonist Brilliantly Redesigns NBA Logos as Hip-Hop Artists

April 22nd, 2016 by Laura Depta Leave a reply »

David Rappoccio, sports cartoonist and writer for Uproxx Sports, has done it again.

The man who brought you NFL logos as professional wrestlers and the Westeros Football League has mashed up NBA logos with images of hip-hop artists, and it's so brilliant you'll wonder how no one has thought of this until now.

It's amazing how ingrained many of these artists are with the cities their logos represent. Obviously Drake stars in the new Toronto Raptors logo, but Rappoccio also incorporated key figures from the East Coast vs. West Coast hip-hop rivalry and Kevin Durant's man Wale from D.C.

There's more: The Roots, Young Buck, Snoop Dogg—the list goes on. Check out all of Rappoccio's masterpieces over at Uproxx.
