How Lucky Did the St. Louis Blues Get Against the Los Angeles Kings?

Saturday night, we saw one of the most bizarre games of the year. St. Louis and L.A. were both scoring fluky goals that you don't really see very much.

I don't know if you've seen the highlights or not, but there were a lot of things that both teams could have complained about.

The first goal that L.A. scored was terrible communication by the Blues. Either that, or they weren't paying attention to where their teammates were on the ice. Either way, they should have had that puck, and that goal probably shouldn't have happened.

Another mishap came later in the first period when the Blues were called for a penalty. However, they never touched the puck before it went in the net. They never gained possession and control of the puck. The goal probably should have stood.

There were many other examples of fluky goals that made this game bizarre. Even the game winning shootout goal was a fluky one.

All of these mishaps made the game a lot more exciting. The fans had no idea what was going to happen next. And, the fluky stuff was happening for both teams. The game was kept close and the fans were on the edge of their seat ...
