Flyers’ Game One a Shutout and a Thing of Beauty

I watched an entire game with confidence last night - wow!  First time this season there were no nerves, no flipping channels and walking away not to jinx a close game.  The Flyers were awesome.  I previously stated that rest between series might stop the team's adrenaline from pumping and seems the Flyers agree with me.  "I think with having just 1 day off in between series was good for us," said Blair Betts. "It really didn't give us a chance to sit back and dwell on what happened last series. We just put it behind us. We had a new team coming in here and a lot of reasons [to be sharp]."  And were they ever.  The pulling of Halak was a dream moment. 

Our 3rd string goalie is a superstar and saved us from what might have been a disaster in based on the first period.  Leighton is truly a hero in my eyes and the hope is he will stay sharp throughout this series and the next and bring The Cup home.  The fact that the Habs took the worst hosing in their history since 1919 has to be demoralizing.  It may be fatal because their ace is Halak and he was anything but last night.
