Colby Armstrong Lands with the Toronto Maple Leafs

Reports from various sources, including ESPN, TSN, and SportsNet, state that general manager Brian Burke has landed winger Colby Armstrong for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The deal is reportedly for three years at $3 million a year.

Armstrong played for the Atlanta Thrashers last season, and in 79 games he had 15 goals and 14 assists, for 29 points. Although Burke is likely hoping Armstrong can play more like he did in 2008—09 when he had 22 goals and 40 points while playing in all 82 regular season games.

Armstrong is known as a grinder who can score, and is a real pest on the ice. He's also a positive locker room influence that you love to play with, but hate to play against.
