And there goes another Chicago Blackhawk.

The battle between the Chicago Blackhawks and the salary cap continued Thursday as Andrew Ladd was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers for Ivan Vishnevskiy and a second-round draft pick in next year's draft.

People speculated the trading of Kris Versteeg to the Toronto Maple Leafs meant Ladd would be re-signed by the Blackhawks, since he was a restricted free agent, but that was clearly not the case.

Ladd joins fellow Stanley Cup champions Dustin Byfuglien, Ben Eager, and Brent Sopel, who were also traded to Atlanta. He also joins Versteeg and Colin Frasor, who was traded to the Edmonton Oilers, in the "gone but not forgotten" group of Blackhawks traded since winning the Stanley Cup a few weeks ago.
