2010 Stanley Cup Finals: Late Lineup Changes for Blackhawks, Flyers

May 29th, 2010 by TAB BAMFORD Leave a reply »
After the Blackhawks' morning skate on Saturday, coach Joel Quenneville confirmed that Tomas Kopecky will skate in the place of Andrew Ladd in Game One. There were also indications that Kopecky could see time where he was most comfortable at the end of the regular season, on the Blackhawks’ second line with Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa.

That would presumably bump Troy Brouwer to the third line, assuming Ladd’s checking role with Dave Bolland and Kris Versteeg.

Kopecky has three goals in 11 playoff games this offseason. He has not played, however, since Brouwer returned against Vancouver.

For the Flyers, veteran Brian Boucher will be activated for Game One and will serve as Michael Leighton’s backup.

Tab will be covering the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals as a credentialed member of the media, bringing in-depth coverage of the championship games to Bleacher Report throughout the series.
