What Should the Minnesota Timberwolves Do If They Get the Top Pick?

The Timberwolves have a lot of options in the offseason. A lot of these options depend on the draft. The Wolves have a 20 percent chance of getting the No. 1 pick, highly projected to be John Wall from Kentucky.

Here's one way the Timberwolves could go about the offseason if they do get the No. 1 pick.

 

1. Draft John Wall

Yes, the Timberwolves picked four point guards last year. Yes, we have two on the team, and one in Spain. But John Wall is too good to pass up.

If we got the No. 1 pick, John would be the new centerpiece of the franchise, just like we saw in Chicago with Derrick Rose (who just led his team into the playoffs, and beat the Cavaliers...).

Plus, many experts call Wall a better version of Rose.

 

2. Trade for Danny Granger

This is a tough one. Danny was in many trade rumors to be swapped with Al Jefferson in the middle of the season, and that never happened. Since then, Al has gone down in a bit of trade value. But that's okay.

I'd say just give Indiana what they want.
