Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade scored 27 points in Tuesday's 102-98 road win over the Brooklyn Nets, pushing him past Clifford Robinson for sole possession of 43rd place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, per the Heat's official Twitter account.
Wade entered the game with 19,587 career points, needing just five more to pass Robinson's total (19,591) from a 19-year career that included just one All-Star Game appearance.
Wade, unsurprisingly, made quick work of the milestone, scoring six points within the first seven minutes of the game on his way to a 27-point performance that was complemented by four rebounds, eight assists, three steals, two blocks and three turnovers in 32 minutes.
He made 11 of his 22 field-goal attempts and all five of his free throws, finishing the game at 19,614 career points, which puts him 41 behind Hall of Famer Bernard King (19,655) for 42nd place on the all-time scoring list.
Wade's huge outing helped the Heat end a streak of five straight games with fewer than 90 points, which marked the franchise's longest such streak since an eight-game run in January 2004, per ESPN Stats & Info.
