New Orleans Pelicans guard-forward Tyreke Evans left Saturday night's preseason opener against the Houston Rockets after suffering an apparent left ankle injury in the second quarter.
Though no word on Evans' status has come from New Orleans, John Reid of the Times-Picayune reported that the situation looked dire on the court:

Evans went down midway through the second quarter on a drive to the basket. He beat his defender off the dribble and rose up for an easy two points, but came down hard on his left ankle, appearing to twist it in an awkward fashion.
