Tyreke Evans Injury: Updates on Pelicans Guard’s Knee and Return

New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans suffered a right-knee injury against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, according to the team's public relations department.

Evans to Have Fluid Drained From Knee Wednesday, Jan. 13 After the game, Evans said he would have his knee drained, but expected to play in the next game, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports. 

Injury-Plagued Evans Continues to Struggle With Consistency  It's been a frustrating 2015 for Evans, who was forced to miss the first 17 games of the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee just a week before the beginning of the regular season. 

Since his return, Evans has taken over starting duties at shooting guard, averaging 16.7 points. He's been a bit rusty, and head coach Alvin Gentry knew he had to make adjustments.
