Charlie Villanueva is going to want this decision back.

After starting in the absence of Chandler Parsons on Wednesday, the Dallas Mavericks power forward was ejected for attempting to choke Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook.

The famously fiery No. 0 initially drew a foul against the Mavs' J.J. Barea midway through the second quarter, but after the two got tangled up, tempers flared and the Dallas floor general took a swipe at Westbrook.

When Westbrook approached Barea in retaliation, Villanueva intervened on his teammate's behalf, wrapping his fingers around the star's throat.

Although he was quickly pushed away by referees, officials easily spotted the act via replay, and the decision to remove the 31-year-old came shortly thereafter.
