Tyler Johnson Injury: Updates on Heat Guard’s Recovery from Shoulder Surgery

Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson has been held out of the lineup since he underwent shoulder surgery on Feb. 3 to repair a torn rotator cuff.

Johnson Isn't Ready to Go yet Saturday, Apr. 16 Johnson missed the last 35 games of the regular season, and on Saturday, the Heat officially listed him as being out for Game 1 against the Charlotte Hornets, per the Palm Beach Post's Jason Lieser.  

Johnson was working toward a return near the end of the regular season instead of the middle of the playoffs, he told Lieser back in March. "My goal has always been to get back and have at least a couple games before the playoffs. That’s my goal. I think the doctors are just being cautious, but the process has been going really well."

However, head coach Erik Spoelstra was quick to tell Lieser there was no timetable available. 

In just his second year in the league, Johnson provided some valuable minutes off of the bench behind Goran Dragic.
