Stephen Curry Injury: Updates on Warriors Star’s Ankle and Return

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry suffered an ankle injury against the Houston Rockets in the second quarter of Game 1 Saturday. After briefly returning to start the second half, he exited the contest again and did not return. It is unclear if the ailment will impact his availability or minutes in Game 2.

Curry Comments on Playing Status Saturday, April 16  "I don't see a scenario where I'll be out," Curry said when asked about his availability for Game 2, per Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated.

Curry said he lobbied with the Warriors coaching staff to get back in the game to no avail, per Scott Howard-Cooper of NBA.com.

Kerr Comments on Curry's Playing Status  Saturday, April 16 Head coach Steve Kerr said Curry is questionable for Game 2 and noted he did not like the way the star point guard was moving in the third quarter, per Monte Poole of CSN Bay Area. 

Kerr said the Warriors "weren't going to play him regardless of what happened" after seeing him play in the third quarter, per Ethan Sherwood Strauss of ESPN.com.
