Tony Wroten: Latest News, Rumors, Speculation Surrounding Free-Agent PG

Tony Wroten is a free agent after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Eve, though other teams are actively pursuing his services.

Knicks Interested in Wroten Tuesday, Dec. 29 The New York Knicks, searching for another guard in free agency or via a trade, have explored the idea of adding Wroten, according to Ian Begley of ESPNNewYork.com. 

The Knicks have 14 players under contract, per Spotrac, meaning they have the room to add Wroten without having to move another player.   

Wroten returned to the court earlier this month after being sidelined with an ACL injury for 10 months and has averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 assists and 18 minutes per game in eight appearances with three starts. 

A former first-round draft selection of the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2012 NBA draft, Wroten was traded after his rookie year to the 76ers, who waived him last Thursday.
