Timofey Mozgov Reportedly to Sign with Lakers: Latest Contract Details, Reaction

Former Cleveland Cavaliers center Timofey Mozgov verbally agreed to a four-year, $64 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers early Friday morning, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. 

CBS Sports' Ken Berger confirmed the two sides agreed in principle to a "multiyear deal."

Mozgov, 29, never clicked with the Cavs last season, averaging just 6.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game. He did start 48 games for the team during the regular season, though Tristan Thompson was Cleveland's top option at center throughout the postseason and is the organization's future at the position.

That made Mozgov expendable, and it also made him a prime target for teams looking to add veteran depth to their frontcourts once he hit the market.

While the Lakers won't be getting a superstar, Mozgov is a solid rebounder who can chip in with some points down on the block. He's capable of starting in the frontcourt and is a strong pick-and-roll finisher, according to The Ringer's Jonathan Tjarks:
