Pelicans 117, Timberwolves 96—Final

Anthony Davis torched the Minnesota Timberwolves for 45 points, leading the New Orleans Pelicans to a 117-96 victory Wednesday night.

New Orleans (6-10) secured its fourth consecutive victory thanks to a dominant performance in the third quarter—which should come as no surprise against this Minnesota (4-10) team.

The Timberwolves entered the contest with the NBA's worst rating during the frame. Wednesday, they lost the period 36-18.

Andrew Wiggins struggled for the third straight outing, hitting just two of 19 shots. Karl-Anthony Towns managed nine points and 11 rebounds, ceding the spotlight to Davis and his dominant effort.

Terrence Jones tallied 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Pelicans, who shot 37.5 percent from the three-point line compared to a 17.6 mark from Minnesota.
