Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reported Randle will not play Friday against Golden State.
Randle Evolving Into Versatile Frontcourt Weapon for Lakers
The Lakers selected Randle with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 draft, and he has looked like a potential star-in-the-making at times. He is a double-double threat every time he steps onto the floor and posted 11.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game last season. He has followed that up with 13.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 2016-17.
Randle can shoot from the elbow or beat slower defenders with his first step and is solid on the low block. He is also an impressive rebounder on both ends of the floor at 6'9" and isn’t afraid to mix it up in the paint with taller opponents.
