Shooting Burritos?! R.I.P. 2009-10 Nets

Many of you might be wondering why I didn't post a recap of the Nets losing 91-83 to the Indiana Pacers last night. After all, 0-11 is a horrendous record and their worst start in franchise history. Well, there are a few reasons:

After watching the game live and in-person, my head exploded. Yes, the seats were $10, which was an extremely kind gesture by the Nets organization, but Tuesday night was depressing. Sure, the Izod Center has never been sold out on a consistent basis, yet it would always be rockin'.

Last night, the arena looked half empty. It was lifeless—much like the play on the court.

I don't live in Los Angeles, so I don't watch the Clippers on a regular basis, but what I saw last night was not worth going into detail about who scored how much.

Bottom line, last night was just horrendous basketball.

The Nets' only bright spots, outside of injured All-Star Devin Harris, are Chris Douglas-Roberts, who scored a career-high 27 points and Brook Lopez, who added 26 points and 16 rebounds. I know quite a few of the players are/have been injured for New Jersey. Still, that is no excuse.
