Sasha Kaun to 76ers: Latest Trade Details, Comments and Reaction

The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired Sasha Kaun and cash considerations from the Cleveland Cavaliers for the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum, the Cavaliers announced. 

Sam Amico of AmicoHoops.net initially reported the deal.

Kaun appeared in 25 games for the Cavaliers last season, averaging 3.8 minutes and 0.9 points per game. 

He shouldn't expect to stay in Philadelphia for long, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical:



Entering Friday, the 76ers had $68.8 million of total active contracts, which is almost $16 million under the salary cap, per Spotrac. 

Wojnarowski also added that the Cavaliers traded Kaun to clear space to sign big man Chris Andersen, who was LeBron James' teammate with the Miami Heat from 2012-2014. 

Per Spotrac, Kaun was projected to make $1.3 million in 2016-17 and $1.6 million in 2017-18.
