Sacramento Kings Realistic Free Agent Targets

As much as I would love for the Sacramento Kings to make a push for LeBron, Wade, Bosh, or even Joe Johnson, it just isn't going to happen. Much to my dismay, I will be very shocked if the Kings are big spenders in this 2010 offseason. Think about the last time the Kings completely started from scratch in 1998. Geoff Petrie threw money at Vlade Divac. That was the highest profile free agent we have ever had. The rest of the team was comprised of guys who have been in and out of the league or guys trying to resurrect their careers like Vernon Maxwell, Jon Barry, Kevin Ollie and Oliver Miller. So, if you're thinking that we might even get a second-tier free agent like David Lee or Carlos Boozer, don't hold your breath. Trust me, as much as I would love to see Tony Allen or Mike Miller in a Sacramento Kings uniform to pair up with Tyreke Evans in the backcourt, it isn't going to happen. However, there are a lot of very low risk and fairly high reward guys still floating around. First, let's look at the guys on the current Kings roster to see it's most glaring needs.
