Ryan Anderson Trade Rumors: Latest News and Speculation on Pelicans PF

As the New Orleans Pelicans nosedive out of contention, some teams have looked to forward Ryan Anderson as a potential trade target. However, any team looking to land the 27-year-old may have to reconcile with it being a short-term relationship.

Heat Interested in Anderson This Summer Monday, Feb. 15 Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported the Heat may target Anderson if they're unable to sign center Hassan Whiteside to a long-term deal:

If Miami can’t land a star and moves on from Whiteside, one potentially appealing scenario (my opinion here) would be moving Bosh back to center and using the $37 million on Wade and two shooters, perhaps stretch-four Ryan Anderson (averaging 16.7 points and shooting 38.3 percent on threes for New Orleans) and a wing such as Bazemore, though Miami also would need to add another backup big in this scenario, too. Word is Miami likes Anderson, incidentally.
