Marian Hossa Injury: Updates on Blackhawks RW’s Leg and Return

Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa suffered a left leg injury in the team's 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night.

Hossa Potentially Out for a Couple of Weeks Monday, Feb. 15 Hossa has been placed on injured reserve with a left leg injury, according to the team's website.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville told WGN radio that Hossa will be out "a couple of weeks, maybe. It's not serious and that was the most important thing," according to Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago.

Because Hossa was placed on injured reserve, he'll have to be out for at least seven days.

The 37-year-old was injured after Ducks defenseman Hampus Lindholm checked him into the corner—a hit the Blackhawks weren't thrilled with after the game. Quenneville called the hit "on the borderline" of being an illegal play, per Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times.
