Russell Westbrook Reveals Pregame Routine That Involves Toasted PBJ and Nap

If you’ve ever wondered what fuels the machine that is NBA superstar Russell Westbrook, we have an answer.

It’s a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

But not just any ol’ PB&J—no, Westbrook likes his pregame snack a certain way.

He broke it down on Jimmy Kimmel Live:

Toasted wheat bread
Skippy peanut butter
Strawberry jelly Sliced in half
An occasional touch of butter—on both sides

During the same interview, Westbrook talked about his affinity for Taylor Swift and one-hour pregame naps. Anything past 60 minutes makes him "sluggish."

He then went on to discuss winning a championship with new Oklahoma City Thunder coach Billy Donovan and breaking Michael Jordan’s triple-double record:

If he achieves either of those, we'll know what put him over the top—probably the extra butter.
