Report: Sacramento Kings Unwilling to Trade DeMarcus Cousins

Looks like Boogie might have to stick it out in Sac-Town after all.

Kings president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie told David Aldridge of NBA.com:

You can put that one to rest. [Cousins] not going anywhere. You can lay that to rest. Some of that stuff lives in its own reality.

While fans of the Celtics and Pistons will likely not believe this report, it might have some merit.

The asking price for Cousins will likely be high, and what do these teams have to offer? A package of Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger and Jeff Green? Brandon Knight and Andre Drummond? Neither of these offers would likely entice the Kings enough to deal their All-Star-caliber big man. 

While the Kings won't rule out the possibility of dealing Cousins for sure, this report seems to be a reminder to all teams interested that Sacramento will not settle on any offer. Sacramento is committed to trying to make this situation work and keep Cousins for the short and long term.
