Randy Foye and Nick Young Helping Guard Needy Fantasy Basketball Teams

Has your team been lacking a scoring punch, particularly in a guard position? There are a couple of guards that have been lighting up the scoreboard as of late.

Utah Jazz combo guard Randy Foye has been stepping up over the past 12 games. Over that stretch he is averaging 15.8 points. He has been dialing it up from long range, knocking down 37 three-pointers. That is more than three per game.

Foye has also handed out 37 assists in those 12 games, though he’s averaging five dimes in his past four games. Foye doesn’t offer much in terms of rebounds or blocks, but he has been chipping in with a steal per game on average.

The other benefit to Foye does not show up in the box scores. It’s the flexibility he brings to your fantasy basketball team with his point guard and shooting guard eligibility. If you’re in a league in which you can make daily lineup adjustments, a player with multiple positional eligibility is attractive.

Foye will never live up to his NBA draft status, but he’s a serviceable guard, both in reality and in fantasy land.
