Paul George Injury: Updates on Pacers Star’s Ankle and Return

Indiana Pacers star Paul George hadn't played since Nov. 11 against the Philadelphia 76ers due to an ankle injury but is ready to return.

George Active vs. Magic Monday, Nov. 14 Nate Taylor of the Indianapolis Star reported George will start against Orlando.

It's unclear when George suffered the injury. He sprained his thumb in the first quarter of the game on Nov. 11 but still scored 26 points in 40 minutes.



Pacers Need George Healthy for Playoff Push After a successful comeback season in 2015-16 following the gruesome leg injury he suffered in August 2014, George is off to another strong start this season. Indiana's All-Star forward is averaging 21.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field.

Unlike George, however, the Pacers are off to a slow start under head coach Nate McMillan, entering Monday's game with a 4-6 record that ranks last in the Central Division.
