Derrick Favors Injury: Updates on Jazz Forward’s Knee and Return

Utah Jazz power forward Derrick Favors left Saturday's game against the Miami Heat with soreness in his left knee. However, he would not miss any additional game action.

Favors Active vs. Grizzlies  Monday, Nov. 14 Favors was available on Monday against Memphis, per Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Favors Emerging as Key Piece to Up and Coming Jazz Roster Favors, 25, continued to come into his own for the Jazz in 2015-16, averaging a career-high 16.4 points to go along with 8.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game heading into Monday. On the team, only Gordon Hayward averaged more points, and only Rudy Gobert managed to accumulate more rebounds and blocks.

Favors was arguably the most well-rounded performer in a young core—all age 26 or younger—that had five players average double-digit points. The future appears to be bright in Utah.



Favors' loss would have been a huge blow to a Jazz team that's looking to make noise in the postseason.
