No Derrick Rose, no Joakim Noah, no problem. 

Despite seeing their two top dogs sit out Tuesday night against the Orlando Magic, the Chicago Bulls pulled away with a contested 98-90 victory to move to 3-1 on the season.

With the loss, the Magic remain winless as they await the return of Victor Oladipo.

Though they fell victim to a slow start and a terrible third quarter, the Bulls pulled away in the fourth behind a balanced offensive attack, led in no small part by third-string point guard Aaron Brooks, who finished the night with 13 points and eight rebounds as his role increased due to Rose's injury.

Chicago's main sources of production came from the interior—where Taj Gibson and Pau Gasol combined for 32 points (Gasol added 13 boards)—and from Jimmy Butler, who scored 21 in his second game back from injury.

Meanwhile, Tobias Harris led the way with 21 points for the Magic, while Nikola Vucevic added 19—though on a poor 9-for-22 shooting display.
