New York Knicks’ Kyle O’Quinn Misses Wide-Open Layup to Close Out 1st Quarter

Behold! The entire New York Knicks' 2015-16 season summarized in one unfortunate layup.

Facing the nearly insurmountable challenge of defeating the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors on the road, the men of Madison Square Garden sought to cut into a 12-point deficit with a mere few, dwindling seconds left in the first quarter.

It, notably, didn't go quite as planned.

After catching a long rebound, guard Langston Galloway hurriedly pushed the ball down the court, tossing a pass around the Dubs' Draymond Green and ahead to a surging forward Kyle O'Quinn. 

No. 9 dribbled. He gathered. He let fly the running finger roll as the backboard lit red.

And he missed—with not a defender in front of him.
