NBA Trade Rumors: Three That Can Work and Three That Can’t

NBA junkies love talking about how this move could happen and that trade could happen. It's no fun talking about it if it can't work. First, I'll tell you three trades that can't work, then three that could work.

 

Can't Work:

Chris Paul to Orlando

New Orleans will be looking for decent players in return and will most likely ask for someone like Vince Carter or Jameer Nelson, along with Marcin Gortat. The Magic won't give up Carter or Nelson that easily.

Andre Igoudala to anywhere except Indiana or Charlotte

Indiana is a perfect fit for Igoudala and Michael Jordan wants a player to go with Gerald Wallace in Charlotte. I could see him going to Indiana. There were rumors of him going to the Lakers, but he wants to be the star and he couldn't get that with Kobe, and same with Orlando and Dwight.

Chris Paul to Portland

I didn't want two Chris Paul trades, but I couldn't resist. He and Brandon Roy would fit well, yes, but Portland doesn't have the talent available for the trade. The most appealing benefit is an aging Marcus Camby and a decent Rudy Fernandez. I can't see this happening an ...
