NBA Rumors: Boston Celtics Must Make Strong Run to Sign Hornets’ Chris Kaman

Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics are one of the poorer rebounding teams in basketball, as they are in need of signing a big man.

Center Chris Kaman of the New Orleans Hornets has been turning heads about the league with his recent play, and could well be the piece these Celtics acquire for an NBA championship run.

After keeping idle during this year's trade deadline, the Celtics are now in a position where the team is lacking in the frontcourt, especially considering the status of O'Neal. According to New Orleans' Nola.com, Chris Kaman could be one of those players the Celtics seek.

Kaman could also be bought out of his contract and still latch on to a contender. The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are among the teams reported to be interested in having him.

The team would be acquiring Kaman via a buyout situation, in which the team would buy out his contract in New Orleans and bring him into Boston.
